Team Overview

At the core of BlackRock’s global operations, the Technology & Operations (T&O) team enables the firm to scale, innovate, and deliver for clients. Within T&O, the Outsourced Platform Services (OPS) function leads the design and deployment of investment operations processes that power our outsourced service model on Aladdin.

As a member of the OPS team, you’ll play a hands-on role working with Aladdin clients in shaping how investment operations are architected and executed—translating business needs into scalable, resilient workflows that support complex investment strategies. You’ll collaborate across functions to implement operational solutions that are deeply embedded in BlackRock’s technology ecosystem and aligned with our client service model.

Job Description

BlackRock is currently seeking a passionate and driven Middle Office Implementation professional at the Vice President level to join our dynamic OPS function. This diverse and integral function spans across various areas of Investment Operations and Accounting. Within OPS, you will play a crucial role in implementing Middle Office service for clients to the BLK Operations' standards.

Responsibilities

• Become a technical guide: Dive deep into your area of expertise, developing comprehensive technical knowledge that sets you apart.
• Innovate and Optimize: Address complex problems head-on in an evolving environment. Your passion for process optimization, data, and technology will drive you to challenge existing procedures, implementations protocols and improve efficiency.
• Leverage Technology: Collaborate with our tech teams to scale operations and enhance control. Your interest in technology will assist us stay ahead of the curve.
• Data-Driven Decisions: Conduct in-depth data analysis to increase transparency and advise strategic decisions. Your insights will be crucial in shaping our implementations.
• Risk Management: Act as a risk manager by identifying potential risks and communicating them to management and collaborators. Your vigilance will ensure we maintain high standards of risk mitigation.
• Lead the Region: Act as the senior escalation and decision-making authority for clients and key stakeholders.
• Develop a High-Performing Team: Build the capability and confidence of the team to independently lead and execute implementations at scale.

Requirements

Understanding of investment management with 6+ years of relevant industry experience.

Basic computer literacy skills, with capabilities to effectively navigate applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Windows.

Numerical proficiency and outstanding analytical skills, with a passion for solving problems.

Natural curiosity, with an appetite for learning about financial markets and new technology.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
