Data Scientist

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as Data Scientist. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country. 

Responsibilities

• Builds, maintains, and improves dashboards, applications, and automations. 
• Connects to APIs, system-to-system connections, and manual data transfers for ETL. 
• Builds predictive risk models using statistical analysis. 
• Applies AI/ML to extract insights from unstructured documentation. 
• Develops and carries out full-service data calls, including data normalization and visualization. 
• Creates business intelligence analysis and visualizations for management. 
• Improves methodologies and tools for risk assessment. 
• Researches and recommends business data storage/integration solutions. 
• Develops user guides and documentation using Power BI
• Incorporates data science tools (SQL, R, Python, etc.) into services. 

Qualifications

• Must have 5 years of work experience
• Strong proficiency with Power Platform, SharePoint, and InfoPath required. 
• Experience creating and managing reporting in Power BI
• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms. 
• Experience with common data science toolkits (R, Weka, NumPy, MATLAB, etc.) and BI tools (Power BI, Anaconda, SPSS). 
• Previous experience connecting to and manipulating data from federal systems preferred. 
• Ability to work on site 5 days per week
• An active Top-Secret level clearance is required

Salaries for Data Scientist, Mid at Planet Technologies range from $90,000 and $125,000. Several factors will impact final pay offered to a successful candidate including but not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, clearance level, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, etc.
