As a Senior Software Engineer -Java you will support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities.
To be a successful Senior Software Engineer -Java you should have experience with:
Extensive hands-on development experience with Core Java (Java 17+), Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
Strong expertise in designing and developing Microservices-based architectures using Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, and Spring Data.
Proven experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs, Web Services, and event-driven applications.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, and source control tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
Experience leading technical design discussions, code reviews, and mentoring development teams.
Strong knowledge of application performance tuning, scalability, security, and resiliency patterns.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments with responsibility for end-to-end feature delivery.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
8+years of professional experience
Additional relevant skills given below are highly valued:
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Barclays Cloud Platform (BCP).
Hands-on experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka and IBM MQ.
Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
Experience with Liquibase or similar database schema/version management tools.
Familiarity with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven design principles.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and delivery tools such as Jira.
Experience in the banking, wealth management, or financial services domain.
Exposure to observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
Ability to drive technical innovation, modernization initiatives, and engineering best practices across teams.

This role is based in Pune.
