Summary:
The Senior Product Owner - Prime will play a pivotal role in driving product strategy and execution within the Prime space. This position requires a deep understanding of product management and the various subcomponents of the Prime business, including cash, synthetic and portfolio swaps, collateral lending and borrowing, margining, and tokenization. The role is essential in aligning product development with business objectives and market demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of product strategies for the Prime business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of product components.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to refine product offerings.
- Oversee the lifecycle of products from conception to launch, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate product vision effectively.
- IT-Backed Offerings: Create a set of IT-backed offerings that align with the client journey through the bank, enhancing the overall client experience.
- IT Prioritization: Oversee IT priorities to ensure they meet business goals and support product development.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work directly with the Global Head of Prime to understand business priorities and define associated products and projects that drive the business forward.
- Team Management: Manage a team of junior product owners and business analysts in the delivery of products and IT systems, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Budget Management: Ensure the budget is properly allocated across various deliveries, including quants, IT, finance, and product control, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Risk and Regulatory Alignment: Ensure every delivery meets customer needs while aligning with risk management and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in product management within the Prime space.
- Proven track record of managing complex product portfolios and delivering successful outcomes.
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of cash, synthetic and portfolio swaps, collateral lending and borrowing, margining, and tokenization.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and product performance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide teams and influence stakeholders.
- Competitive Insight: A comprehensive understanding of the competitive marketplace and landscape, including the ability to anticipate and respond to industry shifts.
- Client Expectations: Knowledge of what major clients, such as big hedge funds, expect from a global bank in terms of product offerings and service excellence.
